Monthly fees
The monthly fee at Heron Point covers your accommodation, maintenance, upkeep, periodic refurbishing, grounds maintenance and, very importantly, long-term care when required.  Also included in the fee are local transportation, most utilities, wellness programs, and many other areas.

Entrance fee choices
You may choose from two types of contracts that differ in the refund policy. One refunds 90% of the fee upon cessation of the contract. The second plan at a lower entrance fee on cessation of contract offers a declining refund balance for the first 50 months, and no refund thereafter. For fee details contact us by phone or email.

Landscaping
All general landscaping and grounds maintenance is conducted by Heron Point. Nevertheless, you have the option of planting around your own cottage or patio or selecting plants for your balcony.  Additionally, small plots are available  in "Claymont" for anyone who wishes to garden.

Heron Point is a flexible community that offers numerous choices to residents. This is a true plus in making your arrangements your own.

Accommodations
There are four styles of apartments and three basic cottage styles from which to choose. Unlike many communities, Heron Point allows us to customize our living space. With design approval, new residents may undertake their own modifications. For layouts, click on Floor Plans on the menu.

Cottages and apartments offer different settings and views--some overlooking the river, others in a park-like setting. Each apartment has an assigned parking space, and every cottage has a spacious garage as well as a second parking space. Cottages feature walk-up attics as well. Dining
Several meal plan options are offered ranging from dinner each day to partial plans at reduced cost. Unusual among our peer retirement communities, our dining plan participation is optional. Attire in our dining area is casual, and a reservation is not required except for special occasions. Our Skipjack deli is an attractive, low-key setting for breakfast and lunch.
At Heron Point, we have many options to enhance our well being--more than are found at most continuing care communities. These range from living space customization to dining choices to entrance fee options. This is a true plus in making our space and our life our very own.
