Quiet, yet vibrant
Ours is a quiet, small-town setting. Yet, Chestertown boasts a farmer's market of locally grown produce and regional arts and crafts every Saturday for nine months of the year. We have weekend festivals that draw hundreds, even thousands of visitors from miles around. A tall ship, the Sultana, makes its home at the downtown pier and is available for tours and sailing. Boating is a mainstay of local activity.

No traffic, but easily accessible
We are protected from suburban sprawl by the Chesapeake Bay and our location on the Delmarva Peninsula; we simply don't have traffic congestion. Our area is home to wildlife refuges as well as colonial-era homes. At the same time, we benefit from ready access to major highways and airports. Both Atlantic beaches and Chesapeake activities are nearby.

Rural and sophisticated
Farming is a big local business, but we are also home to Washington College, a small, thriving liberal arts institution that lends an air of sophistication and accomplishment to the community.

Culture
Artists and artistic endeavors are at home in Chestertown as demonstrated by numerous art shows and art dealers. Musical events include exceptional summer outdoor concerts, an organ concert series, and an outstanding chamber music series. Live theater can be found in a nearby community.

Quality continuing care
Heron Point, of course, offers what would be expected from any first-rate continuing care community. We are fully accredited and provide all the benefits, care, and services that that implies.

Here, however, these come with a location directly on the tidal Chester River; we have an 800-foot boardwalk and two miles of walking paths in a garden-like setting.

Something special
All of this comes without isolation. Our campus is part of Chestertown; we are within walking distance of both the college and the historic downtown.

We know we have something special here, and we believe you will think so, too.
Many of us have checked out a variety of continuing care facilities and found that Heron Point tops them all. Consider this: our setting of seemingly impossible contrasts makes us unique.
